an exhibition in the former remand centre patarei in tallin / estonia.
this work is a sitespecific soundinstallation using piezzo loudspeakers as little objects positioned on the floor in a small space in the second floor of the patarei, a former remand centre in tallin. this project results out of the exhibition "einschluss II" that has been realised in 2006 @ the former stasi-remandcentre in erfurt / germany.
the composition of the sounds comprises of a 5 channel programming. the soundmaterial consists of recordings made on tree-branches that were growing in the patio of the remand centre. the sounds exhibit a semantic connotation to the wave-noise of the sea, that can be heared as an exclusive noise inside the prison cells.
